An Equifax software developer charged with insider trading tied to the Atlanta-based credit bureau’s massive 2017 data breach pleaded guilty Monday to violating federal securities laws.

Sudhakar Reddy Bonthu pleaded guilty to violating federal securities laws in the runup to Equifax’s decision to go  public with its massive data breach. Bonthu, 44, reached a separate settlement agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
