NBC News executives did not mishandle allegations that former “Today” show host Matt Lauer engaged in inappropriate workplace behavior, according to an investigation headed up by NBC Universal Inc. general counsel Kimberley Harris.

An internal investigative team, which was composed of lawyers and human resources officials from outside the news division, where Lauer worked before his firing on Nov. 28 of last year, released a six-plus-page report of its findings on Wednesday.
