AMP Ltd., Australia’s largest-listed wealth manager, terminated general counsel Brian Salter Monday amid an inquiry into his alleged efforts to cover up company misconduct. Salter issued a statement denying any wrongdoing, according to Australian media reports.
Sydney-based AMP has admitted to a judicial inquiry that it knowingly charged fees to thousands of clients over decades without providing any services, according to a Reuters report. Neither the company nor Salter immediately responded to messages Monday.
