The U.S. Senate has confirmed Augusta, Georgia attorney J. Randal “Randy” Hall to a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.

Hall, a Republican who spent one term in the state Senate and whose law practice has focused on banking, corporate litigation and commercial real estate, was nominated by President Bush 13 months ago to fill the vacancy created when Southern District Judge B. Avant Edenfield took senior status in August 2006.
