Companies in the United States spend 166 percent more on legal services per dollar of revenue compared to companies in other parts of the world, findings from U.K.-based market research company Acritas Research Ltd. show.

The median legal spend at U.S. organizations is 0.40 percent of revenues, compared to 0.15 percent for their global counterparts, according to data released by Acritas this week, from an annual survey of more than 2,000 chief legal officers and general counsel from companies across the globe.
