Olga Mack, general counsel of the sales and marketing startup ClearSlide in the San Francisco area, decided two months ago to begin a movement to place women on the boards of 24 Fortune 500 companies that have all-male directors. Reaction to her efforts have surprised her, and not always in a good way. She spoke with ALM reporter Sue Reisinger about her efforts.

Q: How did you start this movement for gender equality on boards?
