The Minority Corporate Counsel Association, an advocacy group for minority attorneys in law firms and law departments, on Wednesday announced the winners of this year’s Employer of Choice Awards. The awards, which MCCA began handing out in 1998, honor Fortune 500 companies that have noteworthy success at making their legal departments diverse and inclusive.
MCCA chose one winner from each of five regions of the United States. The 2015 awardees are: Fannie Mae, BMO Financial Group, Darden Restaurants Inc., Southern California Edison Co. and New York Life Insurance Co. All winners will be feted at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., in June, and representatives will address MCCA’s Pathways Conference.
