Jeffrey Carr, senior vice president and general counsel of FMC Technologies Inc., is about to zoom off into retirement with the same passion he puts into speeding around the track in his orange Lotus race car.

Carr, 58, announced in an internal memo Wednesday that he’s retiring from FMC. On Thursday he told CorpCounsel.com: “There are no company issues, no health problems, no family issues, nothing like that. I’ve been with this company since 1993 and general counsel since 2001, and it just got to the point where there are other things I want to be doing.”
