Note: This is the first of three columns (to be published weekly) about searching for a job at a law department.

Candidates for in-house legal positions often meet with more than one interviewer at the same time for a panel interview. Your interviewers may be from different departments, at different management levels and have different objectives. While the legal department is most interested in your substantive knowledge of the law, representatives from business units want to know how you can make their lives easier and save the company money. Your challenge is to sell your strengths while addressing the concerns of the various stakeholders.
