The opening of the much-touted Silicon Valley office of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has been delayed by several months, with the new opening date expected sometime in the spring of 2015.

The PTO previously announced the branch would open by the end of 2014. But now the agency says additional time will be needed to renovate the space, located at San Jose City Hall, to meet the PTO’s needs. In addition, city workers will have to be relocated to free up the needed space, according to The San Jose Mercury News.
