InVivo Therapeutics Holdings Corp. will soon have a new senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer. A company press release says that Tamara Joseph will begin her duties at the Cambridge, Mass.-based medical device company on March 24.

A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Joseph began her legal career as a litigator at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York. She recently served as senior vice president and general counsel of Cubist Pharmaceuticals Inc., overseeing the law, compliance, risk management and government affairs departments. Before that she was executive vice president and general counsel at Mayne Pharma Ltd., preparing the company for listing on the London Stock Exchange and advising the board on Mayne’s acquisition by Hospira, Inc.
