Being the target of an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission lawsuit is something all companies hope to avoid. But as DLA Piper associate Ross Eberly explains in an entry on The Labor Dish blog, the odds of this happening are not as great as you might think.

Eberly says during fiscal year 2013, the EEOC filed 131 lawsuits while resolving 97,252 charges—a 1-in-742 chance of litigation. In fact, he says you’re more likely to be born with 11 fingers (1 in 500) than to be sued by the EEOC.
