Lafe Solomon, acting general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, has dodged a political bullet with Friday’s closing of a labor complaint against The Boeing Company. But that gun is loaded with plenty more ammunition.
The NLRB filed its controversial Boeing complaint in April, and since June it has been pending before an administrative law judge. It accused Boeing of locating a new plant to build its 787 Dreamliner jets in South Carolina, a right-to-work state, in retaliation for union strikes at its existing factories in Washington State.
