Cellares, a pioneer in the manufacture of cancer-fighting cell therapies, has hired a heavy-hitter from the EV industry as its legal chief as the five-year-old company ramps up commercialization of its technology.
The South San Francisco, California-based company on Tuesday announced the appointment of Jonathan Butler as general counsel. He most spent four years at Lucid Motors, most of it as general counsel, and played a key role in taking the company public through a SPAC merger in 2021.
