In times of economic hardship, general counsel are narrowing their pool of external legal advisors with a view to enhancing accountability, some senior in-house counsel have said.
Speaking at the annual Future Lawyer Week event in a panel discussion—which focused on how lawyers must adapt to support businesses in economically troublesome times—three senior-in house lawyers agreed that “less is more” when it comes to external counsel.
