In-house legal teams are struggling to keep up with unprecedented regulatory activity, consulting firm Gartner found in a new report titled “4 Paths to Staying Ahead of Regulatory Change.”

According to Gartner, regulatory bodies are in a frenzy due to increased oversight, geopolitical tensions and lingering effects from COVID-19. While compliance itself used to be the challenge for in-house, now keeping track of all the most recent regulatory changes is itself an issue for many understaffed and overworked corporate lawyers.
