Microsoft announced this week that it is adopting a slate of employee-friendly policies, wiping out a variety of controversial practices, including requiring noncompete agreements in U.S. employment agreements and nondisclosure clauses in settlement and separation agreements with U.S. workers.
The Redmond, Washington-based tech giant also said it will publicly disclose salary ranges for U.S. job postings, starting in January. In addition, it will conduct a civil rights audit of its workforce to determine whether its practices cause or perpetuate discrimination.
