Anthony Nolte likes finance but said he also enjoys law. So he’s making an unusual switch, giving up the chief financial officer role at fast-growing Austin, Texas-based Open Mortgage in order to become the 19-year-old company’s first chief legal officer.
“It’s using two different parts of my brain. One is all about numbers, and one is all about words. But at the end of the day, they come back together because it’s all about the logic, making them both work,” Nolte said.
