The Walt Disney Co. is opposing a shareholder proposal that would require the media and entertainment giant to publish reports detailing race and gender pay gaps affecting the company’s nearly 200,000 employees.
The proposal notes that Disney has faced more than 25,000 allegations of “rampant gender pay discrimination and pay secrecy from current and former employees in the last few years, culminating in a class-action lawsuit.”
