Boise, Idaho-based Micron Technology, a big maker of memory chips, on Wednesday promoted seven-year company veteran Rob Beard to general counsel.
Beard, who also will be senior vice president and corporate secretary, will succeed Joel Poppen, who retired earlier this year after 26 years with the company.
