Florida-based National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, better known as NASCAR, has a new general counsel, as the legal leader appointed two years ago has stepped away for a sabbatical.

Amanda Oliver, who first joined the company as media counsel in 2005, has been promoted to senior vice president, general counsel. Her most recent promotion prior to this appointment was in April, when she was elevated to VP/business and legal affairs and deputy general counsel as part of a wider executive shift.
