Early on in the pandemic, savvy in-house leaders took a page from Bruce Lee’s playbook and realized that if they were going to keep pace with COVID-19 and its novel, mutating challenges, they would have to be “shapeless, formless, like water.” 

Agility and adaptability were always important keys for running legal departments, but those traits have become vital during COVID times. Flexibility is a highly effective way to deal with the barrage of conflicting information, vaccine and testing mandates, legal challenges and new, more potent strains of the coronavirus.
