Fast-growing software developer Appfire announced Thursday it has found a new general counsel in Christine Alpers, who said she is joining the company during “an important chapter” in its history.

Alpers will lead and scale the legal strategy and function of Burlington, Massachusetts-based Appfire, which has added dozens of products through acquisitions this year. In a March interview with TechCrunch after the software provider received a $100 million investment from growth private equity firm TA Associates, Appfire CEO and co-founder Randall Ward said the company was eyeing further growth and was acquiring businesses every six to eight weeks.
