What was your route to the top?

When I started at Cadwalader I was unsure which practice group to join. As luck would have it, our Capital Markets team was beginning to create the new structures that were reinventing securitization. That work called out to me. I learned the business at the ground floor and it was thrilling: a junior associate working on innovative projects alongside senior attorneys. The rest is a great history in the securitization of financial products for the firm and myself. I was flexible and alert enough to identify an incredible — and fortuitous — opportunity. But a successful career cannot rely on luck. Opportunities can arise at any time, from any place, and in any form – and sometimes you have to be proactive and help create them.
