On Wednesday, the Ottawa, Canada-based software company, whose WordPerfect word processing application dominated the legal market in the late 1980s and early ’90s, announced it had hired Chen as the company’s chief legal officer. Chen takes over for Dana Dingman, who became vice president of legal. A spokesperson for the company said Dingman is still serving as a “key member” of the company’s legal team.
