Townsquare Media has tapped a senior associate at Mayer Brown to serve as its new general counsel, an unusual move. Usually, a law firm partner, rather than an associate, would be asked to assume a position leading a legal department.
Allison Zolot began her role at the Purchase, New York-based media company on Monday. It is not clear if Townsquare Media was represented by Zolot while she was working at Mayer Brown.
