No matter the size of the legal department, general counsel are continuously expected to do more with less.
That sentiment was expressly dictated by executives over the last year during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a recent report by Thomson Reuters, 58% of legal departments found themselves with increased workloads, and 29% of legal departments saw their budgets cut in 2020.
