One of the original members of Robinhood Markets Inc.’s in-house legal team has parted ways with the financial services company and joined fintech startup Rally. This will be the New York-based firm’s first ever general counsel.

Nili Moghaddam took hold of the legal reins at Rally in January, but the company announced her hire Friday. She was the first head of litigation and investigations at Robinhood, which offers commission-free stock trades and is gearing up for an initial public offering. The company has been under fire for barring users from trading GameStop Corp. stock and other Reddit meme stocks.
