President Joseph Biden nominated Richard Sauber, a name partner at Robbins, Russell, Englert, Orseck & Untereiner & Sauber, to serve as the general counsel of the Department of Veterans Affairs on Friday.

Sauber will have to be confirmed by the Senate before he takes on the general counsel role for the department. If confirmed, he will work with Secretary Denis McDonough, who was confirmed on Feb. 8. A Senate confirmation hearing for Sauber has not yet been scheduled.
