Universal Music Group general counsel Jeffrey Harleston appears to be taking swift action as a leader of the global music corporation’s new task force focused on equality, justice and inclusion.
Days after Santa Monica, California-based UMG announced the creation of the “Task Force for Meaningful Change,” Harleston and task force co-chair Ethiopia Habtemariam, president of Motown Records, revealed in a June 4 staff memo that they had created a $25 million “Change Fund,” according to Variety, which republished the memo.
