The upstart XFL football league, which plans to start playing in February 2020, Monday named Mali Friedman as its vice president of business and legal affairs.
Friedman has a sports law background, most recently serving as assistant general counsel of pro basketball’s Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Before that, she was senior counsel at the National Hockey League in New York.
