FIFA, the ruling body of world soccer, has named Alasdair Bell, formerly general counsel and legal director of the Union of European Football Associations, as its new top legal officer and deputy secretary general for administration.

Moving with him from UEFA will be former managing director for integrity Emilio Garcia, who becomes FIFA’s chief legal and integrity officer. Both men began their new jobs at FIFA’s Zurich headquarters on Monday, The Associated Press reported.
