Jeff Vining

Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Deputy Chief Compliance Officer
Lowe's Companies, Inc.

Jeff Vining was promoted to vice president, associate general counsel and deputy chief compliance officer in 2015 and manages global compliance and ethics and the commercial and international legal teams. Mr. Vining also serves on the Board of Directors for Lowe’s Services India Private Limited. Mr. Vining previously served as vice president, assistant general counsel from 2013 to 2015 and has held various positions in the Legal Department since joining Lowe’s in 2008.

Prior to Lowe’s, Mr. Vining held attorney positions at the law firms of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP and Jackson Kelly PLLC. Vining has a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a juris doctor degree from the University of Richmond School of Law.

David Arroyo

David Arroyo is senior vice president of business and legal affairs and the global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Scripps Networks Interactive. Arroyo leads a group of attorneys and staff with responsibility for legal matters in support of the following worldwide functions: litigation, ethics and compliance, intellectual property, government affairs, data security and privacy, ratings research, labor and employment, real estate and bankruptcy. In a previous role at the company, he oversaw internal audit and the accounting professionals who test the controls that assure operating effectiveness and integrity in the reporting of financial results. Before that, he headed the legal staff that negotiated series production and talent deals for the company’s home and travel categories, and during that time the rights management team reported to him.

Before joining Scripps, Arroyo practiced as a trial lawyer at a global law firm. Early in his career he clerked for a federal judge. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Duke University. While at the Law School, he served as an Associate and Contributing Editor of the Michigan Law Review.

President Barack Obama appointed Arroyo to the board of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Senate confirmed him in September 2014, and in 2016 he was re-nominated by the President. He is a past chairman of the board of LatinoJustice, formerly known as the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, a 44-year-old civil rights and education organization, which in 2016 recognized him with its “Lucero” award. He also has served on the boards of several other charitable, professional, and public interest organizations.

Arroyo has been recognized by CableFAX as one of the “100 Most Influential Minorities in Cable” (2014 – 16), by the Imagen Foundation as among the “Most Powerful and Influential Hispanics in Entertainment” (2012 – 16), and by the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications with its “Luminary Award” (2010).

Fabricio Nunes

Fabricio Nunes was appointed assistant general counsel and chief compliance officer of Praxair, Inc. in 2014. He leads Praxair’s compliance organization and has accountability for all aspects of the global compliance program.

Prior to assuming his current role, Nunes was legal director and chief compliance officer for White Martins (Praxair's Brazilian subsidiary). Before that, he was an associate in the corporate department at the Patton Boggs law firm in Washington, D.C. from 2006 to 2008. Nunes began his career as a law firm associate and then was a legal manager at a Brazilian telecommunications company. Nunes earned his law degree from Pontifical Catholic University (Curitiba, Brazil) in 1994 and earned a master of laws degree from Cornell Law School (Ithaca, NY) in 2006.
