In 1997, Mr. Jimenez founded his legal document scanning business in San Francisco, with one scanning machine. He led his company through a period of outstanding growth. As president and CEO of FRONTEO USA, Mr. Jimenez, is responsible for the company’s US strategy and operations in key markets. He heads the strategic direction of the electronic discovery company’s worldwide sales and operations, including end-to-end management, service and support in all markets and countries. His responsibilities also include overseeing international affairs, enhancing local presence, and providing global functional support.
Today, Mr. Jimenez leads development of the company’s growth and productivity initiatives in new business and partnerships in Asia and Great Britain.
With hundreds of employees across the United States and in numerous countries, FRONTEO USA provides AMLaw 100 law firms and Fortune 500 companies sweeping benefits in the eDiscovery field. Mr. Jimenez’s over 20 years of litigation support experience makes him adept for jointly managing a number of international processes and activities designed to drive seamless FRONTEO strategies and execution across the enterprise encompassing all aspects of eDiscovery.
Mr. Jimenez is effective in overseeing the growth of FRONTEO USA’s discovery programs and its services, operations, sales, business development, and administration. Over the last decade, Mr. Jimenez has been successful in strategically partnering with Tier 1 eDiscovery software platforms such as Clearwell Systems, kCura Relativity and Recommind. He employs a hands-on approach as he continues his consultant role regarding the various software tools, processes, and procedures required to manage electronic data and discovery project management services.
Dennis Garcia

Dennis Garcia is an Assistant General Counsel for Microsoft Corporation based in Chicago. He practices at the intersection of law and technology and provides a wide range of legal support to Microsoft’s Sales, Marketing and Operations teams across the United States.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Dennis worked as an in-house counsel for Accenture and IBM.
Dennis received his B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut and Illinois (House Counsel). Dennis is a Fellow of Information Privacy, a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States and a Certified Information Privacy Technologist with the International Association of Privacy Professionals. He serves on the Board of Directors of Illinois Legal Aid Online, the Minority In-House Counsel Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel – Chicago Chapter. Dennis is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Future of Legal Services.
David Horrigan

David Horrigan is Relativity’s discovery counsel and legal content director. An attorney, law school guest lecturer, e-discovery industry analyst, and award-winning journalist, David has served as counsel at the Entertainment Software Association, reporter and assistant editor at The National Law Journal, and analyst and counsel at 451 Research. He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Legaltech News and the Data Law Board of Advisors at the Yeshiva University Cardozo Law School.
David holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, and he studied international law at Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands. He is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia.
Dr. Daniel Martin Katz

Dr. Daniel M. Katz is VP, Data Science and Innovation, and manages Elevate’s data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. He assists in both internal and customer efforts to infuse data science and AI into existing work streams. This includes supporting not only the customer’s technical requirements but also the associated education and change management.
Prior to joining Elevate, Daniel was the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at LexPredict – a legal technology and analytics company which was acquired by Elevate in November 2018. In addition to his work at Elevate, Dr. Katz is also a Professor of Law at Illinois Tech–Chicago Kent College of Law where his academic work focuses on the scientific study of legal complexity as well as the application of artificial intelligence and analytics in law.
Dr. Katz’s academic work has been published in leading academic journals including Science, Plos One, Journal of Statistical Physics, Artificial Intelligence & Law and Physica A; legal journals including Cornell Journal of Law & Public Policy, Emory Law Journal, Virginia Tax Review, Iowa Law Review, Illinois Law Review, Ohio State Law Journal, Journal of Law & Politics, and Journal of Legal Education; and has been featured in publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Wired Magazine, Bloomberg Business Week, 538.com, National Public Radio, BBC Radio, The American Lawyer, ABA Journal, Legal Futures (UK), Law Society Gazette (UK) and The Globe and Mail (Canada).

Hon. James C. Francis

James C. Francis IV is a Distinguished Lecturer at the CUNY School of Law. Previously, he was a United States Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of New York from 1985 to 2017 and served as Chief Magistrate Judge from 1998 to 2000.
Judge Francis graduated summa cum laude from Yale College in 1974, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his juris doctor degree from the Yale Law School in 1978 and a masters degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in the same year. Following graduation from law school, Judge Francis clerked for the Honorable Robert L. Carter in the Southern District of New York. He then joined the Civil Appeals and Law Reform Unit of the Legal Aid Society where he conducted impact litigation in the areas of housing and education and served as director of the Disability Rights Unit until his appointment to the bench.
From 2003 until 2017, Judge Francis was an Adjunct Professor at the Fordham University School of Law where he taught Constitutional Torts. He has served on the Legal Assistance, Federal Courts, Disability Rights, and Professional Responsibility Committees of the New York City Bar Association and the Federal Judiciary Committee of the New York State Bar Association. Judge Francis lectures frequently on electronic discovery, employment litigation, constitutional torts, legal ethics, and pretrial practice.

Monica Bay is a journalist, analyst and provocateur. She is a Fellow at CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, concentrating on the CodeX Blog. Bay also is a columnist at Above The Law; freelances for Bloomberg BNA Big Law Business and other organizations; and is co-host (with Robert Ambrogi) of the Law Techology Now podcast (Legal Talk Network). In 2015, Bay retired from ALM, where she was editor-in-chief of Law Technology News for 17 years in New York and senior editor for 13 years at The Recorder in San Francisco. Her New York unit won 64 journalism and design awards, and she was the inaugural recipient of the Monica Bay STEM Leadership Award from Women Who Lead. In April, Bay was named a Legal Rebels Trailblazer by the American Bar Association’s ABA Journal/Legal Talk Network—and was among the 10 “2016 Women of Legal Tech” selected by ABA’s Legal Technology Resource Center.
Long active in cyberspace, Bay helped “The Late Show with David Letterman” establish its first website on AOL. She got her journalism chops covering rock and roll for the Minnesota Daily while in graduate school (journalism and sociology) at the University of Minnesota.
Bay earned her B.A. at the University of California Santa Cruz, with honors, and her J.D. at the University of San Francisco. A member of the California bar, Bay is based in New York City and Lakeville, CT. She can often be found at Yankee Stadium.
