Description

The panelists will discuss the impact of changes in state law, recent regulatory guidance, and a variety of challenges to certain franchise agreement provisions. They will also offer tips on how to make the filing process more efficient.

A well-managed franchise registration/renewal process requires consideration of multiple authorities. Among other things, practitioners should take into account changes in the law and regulatory interpretations that may affect the terms of the franchise agreement, the contents of the Franchise Disclosure Document, and even the requirement to register in particular states. Where registration is required, a clear understanding of how filings are processed, what examiners look for, and how comments are best handled can help to streamline the process.
