Cat Mineo

Attorney
Johnson, Rovella, Retterer, Rosenthal & Gilles, LLP

Cat was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Crime, Law, and Justice in 2014.
Cat is entering her third year of practice, but her career in the legal world began almost 10 years ago. Cat began as legal secretary and went on to become a certified paralegal before ultimately making the decision to attend law school. She relocated to San Diego, to attend law school at California Western School of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 2018. During her time at CWSL, Cat interned with New Media Rights and continued her passion for helping creators by working with NMR for two years as a work study fellow.
Now, at JRG, she has settled into the Business Transactional department as well as the Central coast. Cat’s practice includes working closely with business owners of all kinds, from inception to dissolution of their entity, and all the happenings in between. Here in Monterey County, many of JRG’s clients are in the traditional agriculture and cannabis industry, which is where Cat’s lends her expertise to navigate the nuanced intersection of corporate and regulatory requirements.
Cat is also an active volunteer serving as a remote Grant Director for the Youth Assistance Coalition based in San Diego and providing weekend transportation to the elderly community with the Independent Transportation Network. She is also a Board member with the Independent Transportation Network and Legal Services for Senior, both organizations who proudly serve the community here in Monterey County.
