Hong Kong counsel Yan Zhang as a China-focused partner based in San Jose. Zhang will divide his time between Shanghai and San Jose and co-head the Greater China practice with the new Shanghai managing partner.* The firm said it plans to make an announcement soon as to who will lead the office.
According to the firm, it has previously represented Chinese clients including Shanghai Press & Publishing Development and the Bank of Communications. The Shanghai office plans to focus on intellectual property, disputes, real estate, and financings.
Haynes and Boone has around 525 lawyers, mainly in Texas and California. It also has an office in Mexico City and one through an affiliate firm in Rio de Janeiro.
