Delhi-based Kochhar & Co. has hired two new partners from local rivals.
Nishant Menon and Neeraj Grover have joined Kochhar from Dua Associates and Zeus IP, respectively.
Menon is a civil and corporate commercial litigator who had been a partner at Delhi’s Dua Associates since 2005. Prior to that, he was an associate at Indian firm Savla & Associates.
Grover, who will head an intellectual property litigation practice for Kochhar, was a consultant at Delhi intellectual property firm Zeus IP though he simultaneously practiced at his own firm, Grover & Associates, where he advised on both criminal and commercial matters. Earlier in his career, he was an associate at Amarjit & Associates.
The two are the latest in a series of partner hires by Kochhar & Co. In January, the firm hired Harry Chawla, a former partner at Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co., to head its Mumbai practice. Over the past couple of months, the firm also hired Chawla’s wife, former Amarchand associate Niti Paul, and former Mulla & Mulla associate Nilesh Parekh as partners.
Kochhar has over 100 lawyers in its six domestic and four international offices.
