Marcia Ellis was most recently a partner in the Hong Kong office of
Ropes & Gray
. She had previously been a partner at Morrison & Foerster from 2007 to 2008, when she left to become Asia chief legal officer at investment company D. E. Shaw Group. She moved to Ropes & Gray in 2011.
Ellis’ practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and leveraged transactions. Last year, she was part of the Ropes & Gray team that advised private equity outfit Bain Capital Partners on its $1 billion investment in Indian business process management company Genpact Ltd.
