Average profits per partner for The Am Law 100 went up 4.2 percent in 2012, but the growth was uneven. Sixty-six firms reported increases in PPP for 2012, compared to 72 in 2011. Nineteen firms produced growth rates of over 10 percent, compared to 15 in 2011.

Bracewell & Giuliani and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton had the year’s biggest PPP increases—42.2 and 36.5 percent, respectively. Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson had the sharpest decline—16.8 percent. Figures on this chart are rounded to the nearest $5,000. Firms that are tied are listed ­alphabetically.
