Michael Leong, most recently a partner at
, will join the firm’s planning, environment, and local government practice.
Leong started his career at Corrs in 1999 before moving to Norton Rose three years later. He became a partner at Norton Rose in 2006.
Earlier this year, he advised McDonald’s Australia Ltd. in obtaining approval for restaurants that were originally refused by the local government. In 2010, Leong acted for Macquarie Real Estate Equity Funds on planning issues for its 37-story Macrossan Residence Tower in Brisbane.
Leong joins a Brisbane team of 116 lawyers, including 22 partners. Corrs currently has 636 partners and lawyers across four offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
