Jones Day has added a banking and finance partner in Hong Kong.
Maria Pedersen, previously a partner at
K&L Gates, focuses on project finance and energy-related transactions. She joined K&L Gates in Hong Kong last March following the dissolution of Howrey, where she had been a partner in the Washington, D.C., office.
Prior to joining Howrey in 2008, Pedersen was senior director at Hughes Network Systems, where she was in charge of managing customer relationships. She was also previously a partner in Jakarta with Indonesian law firm
Kartini Muljadi & Rekan.
Including Pedersen, Jones Day has 39 lawyers in its Hong Kong office, 14 of whom are partners.
