Australia’s Sparke Helmore Lawyers has added two partners in Perth.

Douglas Hall and Betsy-Ann Howe are joining Sparke Helmore from Norton Rose and HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, respectively.
Hall is a banking and finance lawyer focusing on the mining industry. Last year, Hall was part of a Norton Rose team advising the lenders in a $205 million term loan for Discovery Copper (Botswana) (Proprietary) Ltd., an Australian mining company developing a copper and silver project in Botswana.
Howe advises on tax issues associated with corporate financing, and mergers and acquisitions. She joined HWL Ebsworth in 2010 from Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons), where she was partner for over three years. She was also previously the head of the tax group of Allco Finance Group, a Sydney-based financial services company.
