And the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, the nation's second-largest public pension manager, announced plans to acquire Australia's Intoll Group, a toll road owner, for $3 billion.

Dorsey & Whitney and Indian firm Amarchand & Mangaldas were selected by the Indian government as legal advisers for the planned sale of a 20 percent stake in the Power Grid Corporation of India, Bloomberg reports. The follow-on public offer by the government and Power Grid for 841.8 million shares expects to raise $1.8 billion.
