Sheppard Mullin hired Thomas DeSplinter as a partner in its Chicago-based corporate and securities practice on Thursday, the seventh partner the firm has added to its transactions group in the last year.
DeSplinter’s legal focus is advising health care and energy companies on corporate spinoffs, debt financing, disposition of assets and fundraising from private equity or venture capital, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He joined Sheppard Mullin following more than five years as a partner at McGuireWoods and is currently a major judge advocate for the United States Army Reserve in Illinois.
