Fennemore Craig, a fast-growing, Arizona-based Am Law 200 firm, announced that its third merger of 2024 will combine the firm with Wagner Kirkman Blaine Klomparens & Youmans, a Sacramento tax-driven practice.

Fennemore’s growth-through-merger strategy is emblematic of an active mergers and acquisitions market in the legal industry. In January, the firm announced that it picked up all 21 lawyers from San Diego’s Sullivan Hill Rez & Engel, deepening the former’s Southern California bench of commercial litigators and real estate lawyers. That acquisition took effect Feb. 1, the same day as its combination with Seattle-based Savitt Bruce & Willey, capping off a string of six combinations since 2022.
