London’s High Court has ruled that Dechert and the firm’s former partner Neil Gerrard are “100% responsible” in their liability for “unnecessary work” conducted when acting for former client ENRC.

The High Court on Thursday heard that the firm had attempted to mitigate the costs it was liable for; however, Justice Waksman ruled that “in respect of liability for unnecessary costs and WMT [wasted management time]”, the Serious Fraud Office would contribute 25%, with Dechert and Gerrard contributing 75%.
