Perkins Coie has opened up its diversity and inclusion fellowship program to include all applicants following an August lawsuit filed by conservative legal activist Edward Blum, which accused the law firm’s former fellowship language of being discriminatory against white, heterosexual, nondisabled applicants.

Perkins’ expansion of its applicant pool to include all potential applicants followed a similar change by Morrison & Foerster in September; that law firm was also sued by Blum’s group, the American Alliance for Equal Rights, in August. On Friday, the AAER dropped its suit against MoFo.
