Roark Capital, represented by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, is excited to eat fresh. The private equity firm is spending $9.6 billion to buy ubiquitous sandwich shop Subway, represented by Sullivan & Cromwell.
Meanwhile, Kirkland & Ellis landed on three big deals in the last week, including guiding Permian Resources, a Texas-based energy company, as it bought up Earthstone Energy, represented by Vinson & Elkins, for $4.5 billion. Kirkland also represented private equity firm TJC LP in a $1.8 billion deal with DuPont and advised Apollo in a $1 billion deal to sell a battery storage company.
