When Seyfarth Shaw labor and employment partner Rob Szyba first stepped foot into the law firm, the newness of the experience may have hit harder than many of his peers.

After immigrating to the United States at age 7, Szyba entered grammar school without speaking English. Eventually, he decided to go Berklee College of Music, where he saw there was a need for legal support in the music industry and decided to pursue a career in law. The path was self-trod and foreign to him, but after many late nights in the office, he discovered a colleague in his firm with a similar background.
